Tool 02 / Backups

Budget for keeping it.
And getting it back.

Model your regular storage cost or a month with a large restore. Use current rates and allowances from the provider you are considering.

01 / Storage
Decimal TB · 0–100,000
× live data; estimate from your backup tool · 1–1,000
USD / GB-month · 0–100
02 / Restore scenario
Decimal GB · 0–100,000,000
GB in this billing month · 0–100,000,000
USD / billable GB · 0–100
USD / month · 0–1,000,000

Starting values are illustrative. Replace them with your own quotes and measurements.

What is included

Stored GB = live TB × 1,000 × retention multiplier
Storage cost = stored GB × price per GB-month
Egress cost = max(0, downloaded GB − free allowance) × egress price
Total = storage + egress + other costs

1 TB means 1,000 GB here. The multiplier is a simple estimate of retained backup data, not the number of snapshots. Deduplication, compression and change rate affect the real amount. Enter the billable retained amount from your software when possible. This model does not apply tiered rates, storage minimums, early-deletion fees or provider-specific egress rules automatically.

Check product fit before price.
